Metallic and Denim

Two styles I'd never see myself safely pull them off are both in the SS 11 Chloe lookbook. As much as I love their subtle elegance and sweet pastle metallic colours. These are not easy to get away with. And the fullon denim dress....Unless I'm going to a theme party travelling time back to the 80s....it's hardly a summery wardrobe choice. Before figuring out how to work them in real way, my credit cards are safe.

The Lane Crawford Sale

Ok, there're benefits befriend with your favourite shop's salesladies. Ok, it can be a double blade sword, giving that she'd keep an eye on you every time you walk into her radius of potential shopping power.
I have my girls in LC, and who nicely reserved this pair of flirty Loubi for me, one day before the vip sale begin, lalala....Another sweet, flirty Xmas gift for myself. I don't really celebrate Xmas though, I celebrate life~~~

The Party Dress

Ok, there's only two reasons that can wake me up before ten on a Saturday- A Colin Firth film screening and a Sample Sale. In this case, the latter....

And in the piles of cheap T-shirts I found this precious baby, the Sass & Bide "Beyonce" dress. I suddenly started this obsession of party dress shopping, well it is party season indeed. First a pretty Phillip Lim SS 11 petal dress, which I totally almost bought when tipsy at the Lane Crawford party, tried on twice later on, still living it. And the next day, tried on a fancy studded orange dress at Liger, which I missed a zero at the very end on the price tag...

And today, this S&B at an amazing sample sale, 80% off. Lalala, I'm happy happy girl. Here's how runway and Beyonce rocks it....and real way with Isabel Marant suede pumps.

Harry does it again

I seriously don't even wanna rant about it...I mean it was totally my idea to drag myself into the theatre to see the new Harry Potter. Oh well, those Emma Watson Vogue cover did the magic.
Allors, this film is way way way too dark, too sophisticated, too racy for children....Maybe that was the exact definition of what children of this age's been watching....
It totally gets my eyes rolling when Harry stripped off to his briefs and jumped into the icy icy dark hole of water....Geez, what am I thinking....I ain't imply anything more than an freezing ice water hole....
Non the less, what's the matter with HP. I get it, it's been five or six episodes and he derserves to be loved, this poor innocent boy with evil blood in his veins is totally mother care deprived....hence the intimate dance with Hermione (the still teenage version of Emma that is) and in Ron's hallucination all the makeout....that's just....outrageous......They trying to make another Lord of Rings or what, at least LOR has better looking and taller Elfs!!
Anyway, I'm glad that's gonna put an end to all of it, the kids are grown up, hairs been cut short, time to move on. I'll settle for Hermione grown-up version....pls pls no topless making out with HP...it's just wrong wrong wrong

It must be great if you are marrying Prince William, I mean, he's like Prince Charming in real life. Or it can be a reality show goes really wrong. Now I couldn't decide.

Ok, this is official now. I finally invested out on a MacBook Pro as a pre-Christmas gift. And so far, I've been enjoyed spending time with it, erh...guess it's good enough. So this venture would mean I'd finally be taking this blog thingy more seriously....at least more frequent updates....just for the sake of enjoying the finger yoga out on these teeny cutie key boards. I will try very very very hard to keep my cat, whose name Cow, away from it. .....Ah....well....Meoooooooow

Head over toes

This is the time of the year, proper haircut comes before splendid pedicure, with them covered in wellingtons or soon booties, strictly ankle high.

So this is a selfish post that I’m totally gonna show it to my stylist…who blows hairdryer as if he’s getting other body part blowed as well- if you know him, you know this is not exaggerating…

I’m at this freaking shoulder length stage that nothing is right….argh….so it’s either edgy short or stick it to the annoying length, but more elegantly…

Fashion boy’s toy: Kouklitas by Andrew Yang

It’s hard not to be synical about guys making dolls but Andrew Yang is quite an exception. I didn’t realize its glamour and creapiness untill I saw his rag dolls, Kouklitas (greek word for dolls) for real at Central’s Joyce.

There are 47 of them, wrapped in the latest AW fashion. Amazing craftwork.

Andrew, in a skimpy vest, was so much more good looking than I’d imagined (though his skin is not exactly porcelain perfect), but still, he’s posing for the shooting with the dolls, as if he’s the prince living in his own fantasy, which he later said, was pretty true.

“You can’t necessarily wear Balmain down a stroll to the groceries but you can take the doll with you and have all sorts of fantasy with it…”

At the age of 25, he’s living his dream. Making dolls for the top fashion pros. He’s making a Anna Wintour doll as well as a similar collection with Barneys New York.

His eyes filled with slighted disturbed hesitation and slightly pretentious agony, you know, toxicated by the Japanese manga I can only anticipate. But still, it was  a great talk and the dolls, hope fads do become fashions.

I thank him for the interesting conversation as well, especially when he lower the vest and showed off his tattoo of his great grand mother, an inspiring actress in silent movies in the 20s. I almost wanted to ask where he got inked.

Autumn bag: Chloe Marcie

It’s still a bit early I guess to start planning for AW wardrobe here in HK, given the weather’s still 38C+, but it’s never too late to start planning!

I saw an orange middle Marcie in Lane Crawford the other day and I couldn’t walk ever since (in courtesy of Charleen, how she described to me when she saw the exact Burberry purse she wanted for her mum).

Anyways, it got my full attention. And plus, if I’m only getting one bag this whole season, this is probably it!

I just hope it can fit in all my notepads, magazines, tempons, vodkas, mascaras and dark thoughts!

Incredible Inception

Today I finally got around to watch Inception…Now I can’t sleep…What if I was in a dream and everyone else is just the projection of my subconscious….I’m pretty sure that can’t be…

Because my subcounciousness won’t be so ill-taste…I hope…

What impressed me the most is how everyone got that final kick and woke up in sync…

At the end of the day, we all wake up…sooner or later…

Vivienne Westwood X Melissa wing sandals

I’m too excited not to blog about it. I just finished a long day of interviews…running out of my mouthwater literally…And I got this call from God, the god like sales staff with Vivienne Westwood telling me this pair of wing sandals I was put on waiting list since last year….which I totally forgot…has arrived!

Even cow cow lurves the pair. They only have it in black white and red…I’d very much love to buy the both pair…but, yeah…i might end up wearing neither of them.

Certainly, white’s more summery I guess.
